Our National Day on March 17th, Lá Fhéile Pádraig, is part of a week long celebration of Ireland, its history, culture, music and all things Irish. St.Patrick, (385 – 461 AD) who lived with us in the 5th century is credited with being the founder of the Irish national. Some say he was Welsh, others say, French and more that he was a local. Which ever the case, the day of Celebration of his death on March 17th is one of the great world “fun days”.Be with us in Ireland for this great day and see firsthand how the Irish party with “Ceol agus Craic”. (Music and Fun). We will experience the special Celebration Parade in Dingle Town on March 17th and finish off the day with a St.Patrick’s Day Celebration

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Dingle (D)

Arrive in Dingle at any time.

Day 2 Dingle (B)

Hike from Annascaul to the town of Dingle. The route passes through Minard, with its 16th century castle, and the village of Lispole. It then takes old, narrow country lanes through Lisdargan and Ballingarraun before joining the old military road below the Connor Pass, and on into Dingle.

Day 3 Slea Head (B)

Heading west, cycle via Ventry to Slea Head with its magnificent breathtaking views across the Blasket Sound to the famous Blasket Island. Continue on to Dunquinn and Ballyferriter on your way back to Dingle for the evening.

Day 4 Dingle (B)

A relaxing day to explore this wonderful region at leisure.

Day 5 Cloghane (B)

A remote but spectacular historical walk through country only accessible on foot.

Day 6 Maherees Peninsula/Cloghane (B)

Cycling by the shores of Tralee Bay, take in the spectacular views and breathtaking scenery of this magnificent peninsula.

Day 7 Cloghane/St Patrick's Day (B,D)

Start your St. Patrick's Day festivities with the local parade. This will get you in the mood for a night in Cloghane, full of Irish gigs and true Irish hospitality at a local pub.

Day 8 Cloghane (B)

Today, you have the option of a local walk to the ancient site of Loch an Dun OR a climb up Ireland’s second highest mountain, Mount Brandon.
