Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in La Paz
Transfer to your centrally located hotel in La Paz (the package includes one transfer) and, if you have time, enjoy some of the abundant local or international cuisine, and the world-class nightlife.Explore the city’s many fine museums or its historic ecclesiastical structures, such as the Iglesia de San Francisco, whose architectural details reflect the indigenous and mestizo heritage of modern Bolivia. The city is also renowned for its many markets, including the Mercado de Hechicería (Witches’ Market), where Paceños and visitors may purchase potions and incantations made from all sorts of herbs, seeds, and secret ingredients to remedy any number of illnesses (real or imagined) and protect from evil spirits. With streets lined with market stalls and vendors, the pace on the street and the vibrant atmosphere is an incredible experience. Visit the black market and Carnaval market, where locals purchase carnival costumes. It will not be difficult to find shops selling all sorts of handicrafts, mainly alpaca wool products, silver jewelery, woven textiles and leather goods.Day 2 La Paz
The heart of the Andean culture is best seen through the eyes of a local, and on the second day of your City Break package you will have the oportunity to do just that on a half-day city tour. Aside from an introduction to the city's notable Quechua population- many of whom still wear their traditional dress, you will also get to see sights such as the Plaza Murillo, named after the independence leader Pedro Domingo Murillo, the national palace, cathedral, and other buildings. The afternoon is then yours to for independant exploration.Day 3 Depart La Paz
