Fiji (MAD) Sport Project - 42 days
Join a group of like-minded volunteers to experience and contribute to daily life using the universal language of sport. When booking your trip, choose between rugby, netball, soccer, swimming or tennis coaching and take your passion for the sport to children and adults in schools and clubs at all levels. Based in Lautoka, this 42 day project is extremely rewarding and your knowledge, enthusiasm and skill can make a real difference to hundreds of people who may never have had any sports coaching in their lives. As well as coaching sessions you will also have the opportunity to train with local teams and clubs to improve you own skills and really get involved with the local community. After a hard week?s coaching Fiji you can chill out in the sea or relax on the beach in this beautiful and friendly island archipelago.

Itinerary
Day 1 Nadi/Lautoka
Meet your group for the first time in Nadi before heading to Lautoka, your new Fijian home. Explore your accommodation and share your first meal together. Lautoka is Fiji's second largest town but is still relatively small. There is however a nightlife here and you have the option of heading out in the evening to see the local night spots.Day 2 Lautoka
Spend an easy Sunday morning relaxing or heading into the town again to explore further. This is a great time to plan your coaching schedule, or you may prefer just to relax by the pool.Days 3-14 Coaching
Usually you'll coach 3 sessions a day. While you'll usually be coaching kids you may get the chance to coach adults - a great opportunity to test your own skills and gain an insight into local Fijian culture. In the evening you'll have shared meals with the rest of your team and if you've got any energy left you can always head to the local Lautoka bars!Days 15-28 Coaching development/ Nakavika village
Time coaching will be broken up with free time to explore more of Fiji. Take time out to visit our local friends at Nakavika. This village once hosted coaching volunteers and is an ideal place to experience rural Fiji.Days 28-41 Local Expert
As time goes on you'll see a great improvement in your pupils as your coaching ideas are implemented. You'll also see development of your own coaching skills. In your free time, take the opportunity to share a family meal with those you've worked alongside and get to know more about their lives.Day 42 Nadi
Sadly, it's time to return to Nadi. Bid farewell to your students and new local friends and reflect on a fantastic sporting experience.Trip Details

| Accommodation | Mulltishare house (40nts), homestay (2nts)Accommodation is in a shared house with your group and leader in single sex dormitory style bunk bed rooms with upto 6 people sharing per room. There is plenty of communal space and living areas to relax in as well as a small outdoor pool and gardens. The house is fully equipped with running water, flushing toilets and electricity, (subject to local supply shortages and power-cuts) as well as land-line phone and internet connection. The house is located in a nice suburb of Lautoka a short walk or cheap taxi ride from the centre of town.Accomodation at the homestay visit will be basic matteresses on the floor and sleeping bags are required.Mulltishare house (14nts)Accommodation is in a shared house with your group and leader in single sex dormitory style bunk bed rooms with upto 6 people sharing per room.
