Ghana (MAD) Project - 28 days

Itinerary

Days 1-2 Accra/Rural Project

The adventure begins in Ghana's seaside capital, Accra. Meet your group and leader before setting off to Start the day with a group meeting in the market town of Moshi before heading off to your new rural home. Arriving at the village you'll be greeted by community representatives and will have time to settle in to your new home.

Days 3-13 Teaching and Building

Learn a local tribal language from your foreman as you settle into your daily routine of building and teaching. Be sure to photograph your building project along the way - your hard work will soon pay off with big changes to the site. Celebrate a successful first week with a trip to the nearest town beach or Accra for a weekend of well earned rest.

Days 15-27 Cultural Development

As your stay progresses, there's plenty of time to develop side projects. Join the adults in their cooperative groups to teach them English or learn traditional dances and throw yourself into art classes or playing sports with your new local friends (adults and children alike).

Day 28 Accra

Sadly, it's time to return to Accra. Celebrate a fantastic two weeks with a sense of pride in your building and teaching work and new found friendships, with your team and community, that will last long past your time in Ghana.
