Peru (MAD) Project - 14 days
Join a group of like minded volunteers to experience and contribute to daily life in a rural Peruvian village. Located high among the spectacular Andes Mountains our projects focus on assisting children and impoverished communities who, despite their harsh living conditions, always have a big smile ready. Split your time between a building project and teaching at a local school on this 14 day project. Working alongside local builders, staying in the community and spending time with the kids, you'll become an essential part of the community.

Itinerary
Days 1 Cuzco
Your project begins in the town of Cuzco, a town where ancient and colonial meet. Join your group for the first team meeting then head off into the rough Andean countryside to your village. On arrival you'll be greeted by community representatives and shown to your new home. Spend time exploring the town, seeing the school and checking out the building site you'll be working on for the next 2 weeks.Days 2-13 Teaching and Building
Chat to the foreman and learn a few words of Quechua as you spend your mornings building. Then spend the afternoon teaching the local kids, planning lessons and continuing on the building site. There's also plenty of time to join the adults in their cooperative groups, teaching them English or learning traditional dances and weaving. As the fortnight progresses you'll really feel a part of the community.Day 14 Cuzco
Sadly, it's time to return to Cuzco. Celebrate a fantastic two weeks with a sense of pride in your building and teaching work. Bid farewell to your new friends, both in your team and the community, and savour fantastic memories of your time in Peru.Trip Details
