Join a group of like-minded volunteers to experience and contribute to daily life. Split your time between a building project and teaching at a local school on this 14 day project. Itinerary
Days 1-2 Cape Town/Rural Project
Your project begins at the foot of Table Mountain in Cape Town where you'll meet your leader and group for the first time. From here, drive to your new rural home along country roads. Your accommodation during the project will be basic and you'll be sharing a room with your fellow volunteers. Electricity might be sporadic, or not available at all - but this is all part of the adventure! Spend a day exploring the village and surrounds. Meet your neighbours, have a look at the school and see the building site that you'll work on for the next 2 weeks.Days 3-13 Teaching and Building
Get to know the community as you settle in to a routine of building and teaching. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in extra projects. You might like to paint an educational mural with the kids, start adult English classes or set up recycling programs. Talk to the community to find out what their needs are and how you can work together.Day 14 Cape Town
Your time in the village is now complete. Bid goodbye to your new local friends and celebrate your project work before heading back to Cape Town.Trip Details
