Thailand (MAD) Project - 14 days
Join a group of like-minded volunteers on an Intrepid (MAD) make a difference project to experience and contribute to daily life in a rural Thai village. Split your time between a building project and teaching at a local school. Working alongside local builders, staying in the community and spending time with the kids, you'll become an essential part of the community. This 14 day project will tackle needs that have been identified by your host community to ensure that your financial and physical investment is sustainable long into the future. Itinerary
Day 1 Chiang Mai/Rural Project
Meet your group for the first time among the temples and markets of Chiang Mai. Then it's off to Chiang Rai province in Thailand's north. Arrive at your new home and be greeted by community representatives.Day 2 Village
Start exploring the village and surrounding areas. See the school and building site, meet the teachers and your fellow workers and settle in to village life.Days 3-13 Teaching and Building
Settle in to the daily routine of building and teaching. Between the two you have time to plan lessons or take on some extra projects like starting English lessons for the adults or perhaps a football club for the kids!Day 14 Chiang Mai
Your time working on the project draws to an end. Bid a sad farewell to your new Thai friends, admire the progress on your building site and head back to Chiang Mai.Trip Details
