Vietnam (MAD) Project - 42 days
Join a group of like-minded travellers to experience and contribute to daily life in a rural village. Located in the Moc Chau district you'll be living in a village high in the mountains of north-west Vietnam. The 3 villages of Moc Chau town are undertaking community-Based Eco-Tourism activities, including agro-tourism development. Split your time between a building project and teaching at a local school. Working alongside local builders, staying in the community and spending time with the kids, you'll become an essential part of the community. This 42 day project will tackle needs that have been identified by your host community to ensure that your financial and physical investment is sustainable long into the future. Itinerary
Day 1 Hanoi/Rural Project
After meeting with your group, swap the busy streets of Hanoi for rural Vietnamese life in the Moc Chau district. Accommodation will be provided by local host families and as a guest you'll get a great insight into their everyday life.Day 2 Village
Explore the village, visit the building site and see the school where you will be teaching. Take a photo of your building project, it will soon change!Days 3-13 Teaching and Building
Your building and teaching duties will rotate during the day - enjoy the routine and make the most of your free time learning the local dialect, playing football with the kids and exploring the area.Days 14-27 Cultural Development
As you get to know the community and their needs, take the time to develop side projects. Teach English, help to weed, paint a mural or start a sports club for the local kids.Days 28-41 Local Expert
When you're not building, teaching or running side projects, get involved in everyday village life. Share meals with families you have worked alongside, make a mural with the kids at school and perhaps take time out to visit local temples.Day 42 Hanoi
Before returning to Hanoi, celebrate your project work and the new friendships you've made in your team and the community.Trip Details
