Day 1 Quito
Sitting beneath the gaze of Volcan Pichincha, Quito is a long and narrow city that winds its way down to the Amazon Basin. Explore the 30-plus churches in the historic Old Town, the heart and soul of this atmospheric South American city.Days 2 San Cristobal
Take a hike to El Junco, a freshwater lake with an amazing array of birdlife.Day 3 Floreana/Isabela
Discover a strange and beautiful landscape on a hike through the island's arid forests, dense mangroves and past its glassy lake shimmering with the reflection of long-legged flamingos. Get up close to one of the Galapagos' most famous creatures during a visit to a tortoise rearing center.Day 4 Isabela
Watch vast penguin colonies at play on the beaches of Isabela Island, then hike through its unusual interior to the steaming Sierra Negro Volcano. After seeing all the action above ground, pull on a snorkel and swim through schools of multicoloured fish.Days 5 Santa Cruz
