Itinerary

Days 1-2 Madrid/Toledo

Museums, gardens and wild nightlife - Madrid has it all. Travel to medieval Toledo and explore its enchanting old city.

Days 3-4 Granada

Admire the impressive Islamic architecture of the Albayzin and perhaps visit the magnificent Alhambra, an ornately decorated palace complex that is guaranteed to enchant.

Days 5-6 Seville

Sangria and tapas followed by fiery flamenco - this must be Seville. Explore Santa Cruz and the Parque de Maria Luisa. The view from the top of the Giralda is sublime.

Day 7 Ronda

Easy to explore on foot, Ronda is famous for its spectacular Puente Nuevo and the Plaza de Toros, one of the oldest bullfighting rings in Spain.

Days 8-9 Costa del Sol/Malaga

Marvel at the impressive stalactites in the vast Nerja Caves before exploring delightful Malaga at leisure. Soak up some sun on one of the city's beautiful beaches or take a stroll along the fashionable promenade.

Day 10 Casablanca

Modelled after Marseille, Casablanca boasts a curious mix of architecture including the remarkable Hassan II Mosque.

Day 11 Meknes

See what remains of Sultan Moulay Ismail's extravagant vision to create North Africa's answer to Versailles.

Days 12-13 Volubilis/Chefchaouen

Explore an ancient ruined city, once one of the Roman Empire's most remote bases. Discover a slice of Spain in Morocco at charming Chefchaouen, which boasts a delightful blue-walled medina.

Days 14-15 Fes

See a city suspended in time on a walking tour through the narrow winding alleyways of Fes. The symbolic heart of Morocco, this bustling medieval city is home to numerous covered bazaars overflowing with markets, restaurants and every conceivable type of workshop.

Day 16 Midelt

Learn about traditional weaving at a workshop that employs local women.

Day 17 Sahara Desert

Sway through the rolling dunes on camelback. Stay in a hotel made from the Saharan sands.

Days 18-19 Todra Gorge/Dades Gorge

Look out for mysterious kasbahs and have lunch amid the limestone cliffs and stunning rock formations.

Day 20 Ait Benhaddou

Visit the rehabilitation centre at Project Horizon then discover the magic couscous formula at a cooking demonstration followed by a feast.

Days 21-23 Marrakech

Tantalise the senses in the buzzing Djemaa el-Fna market, home to acrobats, musicians, fortune tellers, snake charmers and much more. Get lost in the colour and chaos of the medina's mosaic of souqs on a guided walking tour.
