Itinerary

Days 1-2 Madrid/Toledo

Make the most of free time and visit the Reina Sofia, which boasts large collections of Picasso and Miro artwork. Unwind in the Real Jardin Botanico or have coffee among the Madrilenos in one of the Plaza Mayor's cafes. Discover the rich culture and history of Toledo on a day trip. Explore the medieval old city with its twisting lanes, intricately decorated patios and enchanting atmosphere.

Days 3-4 Granada

One of Spain's most beautiful Moorish cities, Granada shines with magnificent examples of Islamic architecture. A walk around Albayzin, a labyrinth of crooked streets, alleyways, fountains, plazas and villas is a great way to experience the Spain of a different era. Return at dusk to see the region in another light.

Days 5-6 Seville

Get to know Seville, one of Spain's most vibrant cities, from the Santa Cruz quarter to the Parque de Maria Luisa - a beautiful maze of paths, garden beds, patios, fountains and lush lawns. End the day with a fiery flamenco performance, for which Seville is famous. The town is equally famous for being Spain's tapas capital - so leave plenty of room for these tasty morsels.

Day 7 Ronda

Travel through the Andalucian hills to Ronda, a Moorish city that is easy to explore on foot. The spectacular Puente Nuevo spans a deep gorge that splits the old and new parts of the city. Perhaps visit the well-preserved Arab Baths or the house of the Moorish king. Ronda is also the birthplace of bullfighting - though a visit to Plaza de Toros is not for the faint-hearted.

Days 8-10 Malaga

Have fun in the sun on the Costa del Sol. Enjoy free time to make the most of the excellent beaches and warm Mediterranean water. Visit the fascinating cave formations along the coastline including the world's largest stalactite. Why not celebrate the end of this Spanish adventure with a final tapas feast while the sun sets over this incredible land.
