Itinerary

Day 1 Istanbul

The adventure kicks off in a city that has delighted travellers for millennia - magical Istanbul. Stroll through the backstreets to discover lesser-known sites like the gorgeous Rustem Pasha Mosque, the local spice markets and the bustling port of Eminonu.

Day 2 Pamukkale/Selcuk

Meaning 'cotton castle' in Turkish, Pamukkale's famous white calcium terraces can be seen from miles away. Since Roman times, travellers have come here to wallow in the warm, calcium-rich spring waters, which are believed to have medicinal properties. There's a chance here to enjoy some Turkish home cooking with a local family before catching a bus to Selcuk.

Day 3 Selcuk

Wandering the ancient trading city of Ephesus - one of the best-preserved ruins in Turkey - is an unforgettable experience. Selcuk also houses the sad remains of the Temple of Artemis. Once counted among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the temple was destroyed as early Christians branded it a pagan idol. Don't miss a chance to cross the hills into Sirince village, a local winemaking centre, to taste the local vintages.

Days 4-5 Fethiye

The gateway to Turkey's laidback Aegean coast, Fethiye offers adventures from hiking the famous Lycian Way or Saklikent Gorge to tandem paragliding. Those with a taste for history can discover the nearby ghost town at Kayakoy or the numerous coastal ruins. Don't miss the chance to cruise 12 of the tiny islands dotting the turquoise waters, and laze on Turkey's most famous beach, the lagoon-side Oludeniz.

Day 6 Antalya

This Turkish adventure ends in Antalya, a lively city with plenty of hip restaurants and cafes. Wander through Kaleici, the Old Town, for a charming glimpse of the past, or take in sea views from the lovely Karaalioglu Parki.
