A trip down the Yellow River on sheepskin rafts is highly recommended. Board a 'ship of the desert' for an overnight camel safari into the stark Tengger Desert.Days 8-10 Xi'an
Once the imperial capital of China, Xi'an boasts a majestic Ming dynasty wall and a number of stunning pagodas. A day trip out to see the Terracotta Warriors is highly recommended.Days 11-13 Chengdu
Sichuan hotpots, traditional teahouses, giant pandas and locals out walking their songbirds - Chengdu literally bursts with delights. Experience the bustle, taste the spicy snacks and soak up the vibrant atmosphere.Days 14-15 Kunming
The capital of the Yunnan province offers a medley of tastes, sights and architectural features. Browse the Flower and Bird Market or get lost in the backstreets.Day 16 Jinghong
Sprawled along the Mekong River, Jinghong is easy to explore on foot or by bike. Head to the night market and choose dinner from one of the smoking stalls.Days 17-18 Village Trek
