St Kilda is the choice area for Backpackers as it has an alternative sort of atmosphere and is not too far from the city. There is something to do every night with quite a few pubs and lots of cafes and restaurants in the area. St Kilda especially comes alive on Sundays when people come from all over Melbourne to enjoy the outdoors by roller blading along the beach path or to shop at the Esplanade Market.
