Amy Casey

Amy Casey grew up in Columbia, Maryland, the first “planned” city by James Rouse. Her bookshelves are filled with a lifetime of journals documenting her experiences. She began performing at age five and went to University of Maryland in College Park where she earned a degree in Theatre and Radio, Television and Film. Three days after graduation she was living in New York City pursuing her acting career.

Five years, three union cards (SAG, AFTRA, AEA) and an OOBR (Off-Off Broadway) award later, Amy dove into the business world head first with her husband to start Lync Consulting, a firm specializing in custom software development for the financial services community.

Determined to keep her writing alive, she decided to start a website and publish her own work. While living in Bend, Oregon, for a year during the startup, Amy was a local DJ on KICE Radio Rangers and performed with a community theatre group. Amy spent seven years building Lync Consulting from the ground up with her husband, Christopher, and in June 2002 the firm reached a point of success where she can ‘retire’ from the daily operations and maintain a position of ownership. Amy is now excavating her authentic self and on track to getting back to her creative work.
