Born in England but bred in Scotland. I am 34 years old and have just quit my job and decided to go travelling for a while. It’s something I’ve been talking about since I was 16, so it’s about time really.

I have dabbled in travel, starting with a week in Paris by myself, to see if I could cope. Ended up seeing some wonderful sights, being followed by some creep, not being understood at all and wondering what I was doing.

After some dodgy package holidays I ended up going to Australia for two weeks to stay on a friend’s yacht. Came back from that with a future husband and full of determination to get a yacht and sail around the world. Nine months later the yacht was bought and we spent the next four years sailing on our leave between Norway and the Carribean.

Now I find myself single again and ready for some land travel and new adventures, so Moscow here I come…
