Health Issues: A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travellers coming from infected areas. Malaria risk is high throughout the year in 223 municipalities. Chloroquine is recommended.

When to go: Late spring and early summer are good times to visit.

Getting Around: There are some trains, but they’re not worth taking. Stick to buses.
