When to go: If you like beer, fight the crowds and join in the fun during Oktoberfest. Otherwise, late spring is a very nice time, before the summer rush.

How to get around?: The S-bahn, U-bahn, streetcars and buses all overflow during Oktoberfest. Eurail is valid on the S-bahn.
