When to go: Nice weather can be found almost year round.

Specific Events/Holidays: Waitangi Day (Treaty of Waitangi established British sovereignty over New Zealand), 6 February (1840)

Getting Around: Put those legs to work! There is no bus service, so rent a bike for your time there. A taxi will take you out and about if you’re planning on heading to a place further than your legs want to go, or you can also rent a car.
