Harare is in northeastern Zimbabwe. Most people make a stop in Harare before they travel through the rest of Zimbabwe. Harare has a nice mix of old colonial buildings worth a look. Most people arrrive in Harare by bus, or have flown in from Europe or South Africa. Chibuku Neshamwari Dance Festival: August, Zimbabwe Women Music: August, Summer Jazz Festival: September, International Music Day: October Slow trains and fast buses service much of Zimbabwe. Through Harare, you can find mini-buses and cheap taxis to get you almost anywhere. Crime is on the rise, so keep your wits about you.
