Paris, France

Arriving in Paris
There are two airports that serve Paris and the surrounding area: Charles de Gaulle and Orly. Transportation from the airport into the city is plentiful and relatively easy.

Charles de Gaulle Airport
One quick option is to take the RER (a regional train, 7,85 €) into Paris (approximately 35 minutes)

Taxis are available as well (approximately 45 minutes, about 50 €).

A third option is the Roissybus, a bus that operates between Charles de Gaulle and the rue Scribe at Opéra. (approximately 45 minutes, 8,30 €).

Charles de Gaulle airport has a good web site in English that goes over terminal information and transportation options.

Orly Airport
Taxis are available from Orly into Paris (approximately 35 €)

The Orlybus takes passengers from Orly to the Denfert-Rochereau metro stop in Paris (about 25 minutes, one-way ticket is 5.40 €)

Visit www.Paris-Ory.com for more specific information about Orly.

If you speak French, there is an official web site for the airports of Paris that will also be useful to you: www.AeroportsdeParis.fr

Getting Around
Walking is by far the best way to get around the center of Paris. For trips that would be uncomfortable on foot, however, the Paris Metro is fast, clean and easy to use. Chris Fuller has provided bootsnall.com with an excellent rundown of the different metro tickets.

The RATP (Paris Rapid Transit System) has a web site in English that includes a metro map and a tool for plotting your route.
