Caroline King – Intern Bio
Caroline Campbell King
Intern Bio
Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, Caroline Campbell King, who being true to her name, (which is an alliteration) decided to move to Seattle and major in English. Currently bowing down to her professors at THE University of Washington, she is working for her undergraduate degree, which is due out in June. Between the sheets of crumpled papers and half-finished course packets, Caroline tries to make time for her other interests. She lives with 10 girls who love to distract her with trips to the mountains, rock shows and going dancing. On Sundays you will probably find Caroline first at University Presbyterian Church – where she is a dedicated attendee and shortly thereafter at University Zoka – a coffee shop where Caroline meets friends, drinks coffee and then glues herself to a computer screen.
When asked the question: “what are your plans for next year” Caroline says she will be teaching English in Prague, Czech Republic and doing an internship with Christian Associates International (a rad organization.) No plane tickets have been purchased yet, nor have jobs been made official but most likely that is where you will find her come 2007.
Caroline hearts Europe. Looking past urine-coated subways and bad techno, she recommends the continent to anyone. Having studied in London, England last year, Caroline was blessed to see such neat places as Belfast, Ireland; Barcelona, Spain; and Cardiff, Wales. She has also traveled to Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Mexico, Dominican Republic and O, Canada.
A member of UW’s equestrian team, Caroline is more or less a spaz for animals. This month she rescued a black and white bull terrier mutt puppy from the cruel streets of the University district and successfully returned him to his owner. Someday when her travel bug wears off, she would like to own a few of her own animals. And of course, Caroline loves her luminous family: Mom, Dad, Leslie, Bruce, Patrick, Kris, Katie and Emmett.
