A Little Bit of Paradise
The scenic beauty of Wayanad and its rich natural resources offer several opportunities for adventure tourism. The hills, rocks and valleys that make the unique character of Wayanad cater to the ever increasing demand of this type of traveler. Every place is incomplete without a waterfall. Wayanad Soochippara Waterfalls makes this place complete. These undiscovered waterfalls are near Meppadi.

In Malayalam, soochi means needle and para means rock, which is how the name soochippara is derived. Senital rock waterfalls, stretch high, and fall in three stretches, ranging from 100 feet to 300 feet. The three stretches fall into meenmutty, soochippara and kanthanpara. These combine and flow into the Chaliyar River.

Soojippara is one of the most beautiful places in Wayanad. To reach the waterfalls, you have to cross the green lush tea gardens. The beautiful waterfalls can be seen from far. After the cross, you trek down two kilometers through dense equatorial forest over steep rocks. The pool allows for swimming, water rafting, etc. The tree top huts provide a unique view of the valleys of the Western Ghats and the glimmering shallow waters of the surrounding springs.

The place around Soochippara is ideal for holiday and retirement homes. Wayanad real estate is appreciating fast. People have started realizing the potential of Wayanad as a tourist top spot and as a second home to relax during the summer. Companies cater exclusively to this market. They sell second homes for a cheap price that can then be rented, providing a good good return on investment.

Wayanad is a paradise. See it once and its green lush nature will remain in your memories forever.
