Why is Rialto a bridge while Millay is a viaduct? The term “viaduct” used to denote bridges with arches, although it literally means “the road conductor”. Lately they call viaduct any bridge they want to add some panache to. Cheap.

All of these are beautiful. But I think there’s a crucial one missing. The Øresund Bridge between Denmark and Sweden.

Amazing bridges. All bridges are very nice but I like Erasmusbrug bridge. I saw this bridge last year when I went to the Europe. Everyone must see this bridge. It is very nice looking at night.

Nice choices. I also like the Pont du Avignon (Avignon, France), and Clifton Suspension Bridge (Bristol, England)

Been on a few of these. Not that exciting for me to be on the bridges. I appreciate the photos and the engineering it takes. Amazing what humans can build.
