When we lived in Legon, outside of Accra, we discovered that most of the villages around Accra had their own homemade version of this "Gin". Some was rougher than moonshine while other was smooth and tasted almost like it had been aged. Sometimes mahogany was added to it making it a tonic for men to drink.
