Michelle Fabio has turned the story of "Silent Night" upside down and inside out. It wasn't sung for the first time in that chapel. Joseph Mohr's 6-stanza poem was written in 1816. He didn't add the music to the poem. Franz Gruber added the music in 1818. The chapel was built in the following century. The Strassers didn't take it to New York City. That was the Rainers. She claims "a tenor, a soprano, and a choir sang the first version a capella." No. Joseph Mohr and Franz Gruber sang and neither was a soprano. It wasn't a capella. Joseph Mohr played his guitar.
