We’ve been talking quite a bit about “career breaks” lately at BootsnAll – a sort of gap year for adults – and although there are certainly similarities to the long-term trips younger travelers take, a career break brings with it its own unique challenges. Many career breakers have mortgages, kids, and pets – not to mention careers! Figuring out how to put life on hold (so to speak) for a little while in order to pursue a dream of travel can be tough. We’re excited to be working with the fine folks at Meet, Plan, Go! to help make career breaks less daunting for people.
One of the things that career breakers have to deal with that is exactly the same as any other traveler, no matter how long they plan to be gone, is figuring out where to go. Planning an itinerary can be difficult whether you’re going for a couple weeks or a couple years – there’s never enough time to see or do everything, so there’s always stuff that gets left on the cutting room floor.
How do you decide where to go? In some cases, it may be as simple as a photograph that inspires you to add a destination to your trip. We hope that one of this month’s spectacular travel photos inspires you.
>> Hey, folks, please send us your favorite travel photos! No matter where you go, it’s a foreign place to someone out there – so if you’ve got great pictures from your hometown those count as well. It’s easy to submit your photos, and you can send in as many as you like. We look forward to featuring your travel pictures next month!

>> Did you know? Easter Island is one of the most remote islands in the world.
Have you sent us a photo yet? We aren’t looking for professional photographers here – we’re looking for people who get outside their house now and then and bring a camera with them. Send in your favorite photos – we want to see them!
