Really enjoyed the article, and several of the documentaries going back to this "holocaust" of Dec. 1943 in Kalavrita, Greece. My dad and his family were from this now famous town that marks March 25 1821 as the first Greek flag to expound on finally, Greek Independence day..!It is worth reading about, and I am honored to have learned of this otrocity that was little spoken of in history or by my dad.Our original family name is Papaharalambous and of the 1200 men and boys 13 and over that were masacred that day, I am in search of an eye witness. A book called "The Drama of Kalavrita" Dimitris Kaldiris, and a newspaper archive by two English officials have emerged.Like to continue my quest since my family immigrated from Kalavrita and Athens, Greece.
