Itching to boogey and get down tonight, but find the clubs and drinks in Singapore too expensive? Here's a little tip: The Singapore Girl gets it really good here. On Ladies' Nights, many places waive their cover charge and practically throw free alcohol at you. The downside, obviously, is that men still have to dish out some dough. So what better excuse to grab the gals in your hostel and head for a Grlzz Nite Out on the town!
Carnegie's is the place to be on Wednesday nights. With no cover charge for men or women, and with free flow of champagne for the ladies, you're sure to have a swingin' good time here without having to burn a hole in your budget.
#01-01 Far East Square, 44/45 Pekin Street. Tel: 534-0850. 9pm-3am
How to get there: The nearest MRT station is Raffles Place MRT, take the Cecil Street/Robinson Road exit and walk down either of these roads to Cross Street. Turn right on Cross Street, past the TPI Building and walk towards Telok Ayer Street. Keep walking until you hit Amoy Street, turn right and walk up Amoy Street towards Pekin Street and Far East Square will be at the corner where these two streets meet.
Buzz holds their Ladies' Night on Thursdays, and it can get really packed. Ladies get five free drinks (house pours) while men have to buy their first drink at the door. No cover charge.
88 Circular Road, 536-9557.
How to get there: Circular Road is just behind Boat Quay, where a long string of pubs, clubs and restaurants line the river and come alive at night. From Raffles Place MRT, take the UOB Plaza exit and ask someone to point you towards Boat Quay. Look out for a small McDonald's at this end of Boat Quay and walk past it to the next road, and you're on Circular Road! Now turn right and walk up about 6 blocks, looking out for Buzz's small sign on the left side of the road.
China Jump is a classic ladies' favourite on Wednesday nights, for women are granted free entry and free housepours from 9:30pm - 3am. Men, however, have to surrender S$25 to enter and for their first drink.

Notes
In general, Boat Quay and Mohamed Sultan Road are the pub/club districts in Singapore.
The legal drinking age in Singapore is 18, although some venues may impose higher admission-ages, eg: 21 for ladies and 25 for men.
It's a good idea to phone the venues listed above to check that they have not discontinued their Ladies' Nights.
