Kristina's friends and colleagues often open a conversation with, "so where are you going next?" She and her husband spent 9 months traveling around the world in 1998-99, and since their return she's been to Honduras, London, and back to Bangkok. She thinks her wanderlust actually began back in high school when, during a hellish Mexican train trip, she shocked her mother with her willingness to eat tacos sold off a cart outside the train window. She never looked back.
Kristina and her husband chronicled their trip around the world from the road on their website, www.wired2theworld.com, where you can find journals, budgets, travel tips, and lots of photos. She enjoys being the "webmistress" of the site. In true "wired" fashion, while traveling in Italy the New York Times interviewed her and her husband (via email) about the "Techno-Nomad".
Kristina's other passion is for food, both cooking and eating. She was a professional chef for over 8 years and still works in the restaurant industry. She also teaches cooking classes (both private and at a community school) in the Los Angeles area. Her ideal job would combine both her passions, food and travel, and she has hope that someday it will all come together.

Kristina had some interesting experiences in Honduras, especially while diving, which you can read about in her Like a Fish to Air.

Her goal is to take at least one international trip a year and hopes that someday she can take another extended journey.
Some favorite past destinations: Thailand, Nepal, New Zealand, and Italy.
Destinations in the works: Turkey, Peru, Egypt, Botswana.
