Season for Peak Fees: 05/15 to 09/15Emerald Bay State Park is adjacent to D.L. Bliss State Park.With its rugged shoreline and blue-green water, Emerald Bayis one of the most photographed places in the world. Vikingsholm,a replica of a Scandinavian castle (800 A.D.), is part of the park. Thebuilding is considered one of the finest examples of Scandinavianarchitecture in the Western Hemisphere. Tours are available of this38-room mansion. Emerald Bay offers a panoramic view of the lake fromEagle Falls. Hikers can head into nearby Desolation Wilderness or walkthe rugged lakeshore to D.L. Bliss along the Rubicon Trail.
