Housatonic Meadows Sp Campground

Housatonic Meadows State Park contains 451 acres located in Sharon, CT in the picturesque valley of the Housatonic River amid the rugged hills of the Northwestern uplands. The clear cold river water also provides a fine opportunity for fly fishermen to test their skills on the trout and bass. A two-mile stretch of river (including the park shore) is limited to fly fishing. Housatonic Meadows is an ideal setting for a variety of outdoor recreational activities including fishing, hiking, camping, canoeing and cross country skiing. The campground contains 97 campsites located under tall pines on the river banks. Camping facilities include flush toilets, drinking water, gravel parking and a pay telephone. Please Note: Reservations are not available for this campground after Labor Day. The campground is open and campers are welcome to the campground on a first come / first serve walk-up basis. Park has a $3.00 walk-in fee. The last night of camping at this campground for the camping season is December 31.
