The park offers outdoor enthusiasts a variety of opportunities, including canoeing, hiking, picnicking, cycling, camping, and nature study. The Loxahatchee River, Florida's first federally designated "Wild and Scenic River," winds its way through the park under a canopy of cypress trees. This campground is open 365 days a year from 8am until sunset, and reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance.
