D A R State Forest Campground

D A R State Forest Campground
DAR. State Forest was established in 1929 when the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) donated 1,020 acres to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The 50 site campground is situated on a ridge between lovely upper Highland Lake and a scenic wetland where moose, bear and beaver are common visitors. Miles of trails (including a wheelchair accessible trail along the lake edge) and a sandy swimming beach are just a few of the attractions in this popular campground.
