Sason for Peak Fees: 05/15 to 09/15The redwoods in the Grizzly Creek area were what inspiredOwen R. Cheatham, founder of Georgia-Pacific Corporation, to preservethis site in perpetuity. Although Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Parkcovers only a few acres large enough to provide a sense of seclusion, andit receives so few visitors that on a weekday it is possible to be theonly person in one of it groves of coast redwoods. The Cheatham Grove isan exceptional stand of coastal redwoods. The park is a quiet place tocamp, hike, fish, swim and picnic. The Van Duzen River flows beside thecampground.
