Poplar Point Campground

Located on picturesque Piseco Lake, Poplar Point campground offers the camper the quiet solitude that campers enjoy, fine fishing, canoeing, sailing and other water sport opportunities. The campground is located in the central portion of the Adirondack Park at an elevation of 1,660 feet above sea level. The terrain is basically hills with well wooded areas consisting of conifers and mixed hardwoods.

From the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) take exit 27 (Amsterdam) and follow route 30 north for approximately 50 miles to the Village of Speculator. Turn left onto route 8 and go about 11 miles to Old Piseco Road. Turn right for about 5 miles. The campground entrance is on the left. Also from the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) take exit 31 (Utica) and proceed north on route 8 for about 55 miles to Old Piseco Road. Turn left and travel for approximately 7 miles. The campground entrance is on the right.
