Point Comfort Campground
Located on picturesque Piseco Lake, Point Comfort offers the camper a number of activities such as hiking, swimming, canoeing, sailing, other water sport activities and fishing just to name a few. Numerous hiking trails to challenge the day hiker to the 133 mile long Northville-Lake Placid Trail are located just minutes away. The campground was developed in the late season of 1929 to provide additional camping to the area. The campground is located in the central portion of the Adirondack Park at an elevation of 1,660 feet about sea level. The terrain is basically hills with well wooded areas consisting of conifers and mixed hardwoods.

Old Piseco Rd

From points east on the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90), take exit 27 (Amsterdam). Follow route 30 north for approximately 50 miles to the Village of Speculator. Turn left on route 8 and go about 11 miles to Old Piseco Road. Go about 7 miles and notice the campground entrance on the left. From points west on the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90), take exit 31 (Utica). Follow Route 30 north for approximately 55 miles to Old Piseco Road. Turn left and go 1 mile. The campground entrance is on the right.
