Detroit Lake Campground

Detroit Lake State Park is located along the north shore of Detroit Lake. The park offers a variety of campsites, modern restrooms with electricity and showers, boat ramps, boat moorage and an accessible fishing dock. Detroit Lake is known for its fishing, boating of all types, water skiing, jet skiing, scenery and wildlife. The campground offers evening programs, children's crafts, and a Junior Ranger program. There are facilities for playing horseshoes or volleyball, basketball hoops in the C Loop playground area and two designated swim areas. Firewood and the morning newspaper are available near the Visitor Center which offers a free cup of coffee and an assortment of items for sale including: park souvenirs and apparel, games, educational books and toys.

If you choose to pay in full we will send you our Express Check In package. Detroit Lake visitors are encouraged to opt for this in order to bypass sometimes long lines. Upon arrival use the center lane and drop your card in the kiosk. You will bypass the booth completely, proceeding directly to your site. Less time in line and more time enjoying our beautiful park. Those who need to register extra vehilces or have reserved boat slips will need to come to the registration booth.
