Hickory Knob Campground
Hickory Knobsits alongside Strom Thurmond Lake. The park offers outstanding recreational opportunities including a beautiful 18-hole championship golf course, trails for hiking and biking; tennis courts, and facilities for archery and skeet shooting. In addition to lake access for fishing and boating, Hickory Knob features a motel, park cabins, a restaurant and group meeting facilities.

Hickory Knob State Resort Park is located eight miles west of McCormick, SC off of Secondary State Route 33-7 (Donald R. Saggus Memorial Hwy). From Columbia: Travel west on US Hwy 378 and follow the signs to the park west of McCormick. From Atlanta: Travel east on I-20 to Hwy 78 (exit 172 - Thomson), to Hwy 43 to US 378 east and follow the signs to the park after crossing the Savannah River.
