Martin Dies Jr State Park Campground

Martin Dies, Jr. State Park is located on the east side of B.A. Steinhagen Lake, on US Hwy 190 between the towns of Woodville & Jasper. B.A. Steinhagen Lake is a Corps of Engineers Lake on the Neches River. Martin Dies, Jr. State Park is an overnight campground that offers 227 campsites, 122 sites have water & electric, 55 sites have water only, 42 screened shelters for camping, & 2 air conditioned limited use cabins (no water inside). There is an air conditioned group dining hall that will accommodate 100 people available for rent.

Entrance fee:
$3 per day, per person 13 and older for Day Use.
$2 per day, per person 13 and older for Overnight Use.
$2 per day, per person Texas residents 65 on 9/1/95 or after for day use. $1 per day, per person Texas residents 65 on 9/1/95 or after for overnight. Entrance fees are in addition to campsite or day use facility fees.
This park now has a gate that locks with a combination at 10:00 p.m. Campers with reservations must call the park to get combo before 5 p.m.
An excess vehicle fee of $2 will be charged for all vehicles over the limit of 2 per site.
