Located along the beautiful Wisconsin River near the site of Native American encampments, Council Grounds State Park is a favorite for water enthusiasts. The park offers many recreational opportunities including wooded trails, beach area, and an accessible fishing pier. Council Grounds State Park is located on the northwest edge of Merrill, on Council Grounds Drive. Exit Hwy 51 at the Hwy 64 Exit. Take Hwy 64 west 3 miles to Hwy 107 North. Take Hwy 107 north 1.8 miles to Council Grounds Drive. Take Council Grounds Drive south 1/2 mile to the park entrance.
