How to Protect Your Valuables on the Euro Rail
Although thefts on train are vastly exaggerated, it's a good idea to keep your valuables near you in a day pack, and take it with you when you go anywhere on the train, such as the food car or the restroom. The bag can also double as a pillow when you're sleepy.
