Eurail Travel Through Non-Pass Countries
If you travel through a country not on your pass, such as a trip from Budapest to Prague, through Slovakia, you will need to pay for the portion of the journey through Slovakia, even if you have the Prague excursion pass. Note that rates on trains may be higher and may incur a fine as well. Make sure to check the route of your train before you go - sitting at a small border town for 6 hours, waiting for the next train after being kicked off is no fun!
