What is it?
Have you ever found that fellow travellers are often the best source of information? We have found that while on the road, a local or someone that was just there can be an excellent source. Yes, sometimes the information you receive is skewed, but more often then not, it can be trusted. With this in mind, many BootsnAll.com members have decided to become Insiders and be available via e-mail for the questions that the guide book just doesn't answer. Or possibly to answer general questions considering protocol and suggestions for a good time. Whatever detailed question that you don't have an answer for...
How it works: an example
Imagine, you just finished reading the August travel guide to Durban, South Africa. It was informative but still didn't answer a few of your other questions about what type of clothes would be appropriate in Durban's summer climate, and what is a fair daily budget for Durban. Click to the Africa Insiders section, e-mail the Insider, Doug, and receive the answers. It's "hot as" in summer and $25 low end is a fair budget for Durban or something like that.

How to get the best answers from your Insider
Try to be as specific as possible. Your Insider won't plan your trip for you, but can give answers to reasonably detailed questions. The more detailed the question, typically, the easier it is for Insider to answer the question.
How to be an Insider
Are you knowledgeable about a destination or two? Then fill out the Insider form and we'll add you to your location of expertise. Please include a short description of where you'd like to be an Insider for. Just a couple of lines is fine. You can also include more than one destination if you wish.
As an Insider you don't have to be online 24/7. Checking your email at least once a week should be sufficient. If you cannot answer the question, it's still a good idea to reply and say so. If you know of any websites that are good resources on your area, be sure to include them in your reply.
