Canada

America's huge neighbor to the north, Canada is anything but American. It's a melting pot of immigrants, European style cities, on the borders of vast wildernesses filled with animals. It's impossible to classify Canada, from the vibrant city of Vancouver, British Columbia to the remote countryside of Newfoundland, this is a country with more than the eye can see.

Getting there

It can sometimes be challenging to find cheap airfare to Canada, but obviously there are many factors to consider. Generally you'll find the best deals into Toronto and Vancouver, but any of the other major cities can also offer good deals if you book early enough.

Where to stay

Obviously there is no shortage of hotels in Canada. They tend to be similar to American hotels in that rooms are much larger than in Europe and Asia, but prices can be high too, especially for nicer places in city centers. If you are a budget traveler you should probably look into the many hostels in Canada as well. Most of these places also offer private rooms, which are often just as nice as basic hotels in the same area, but noticeably cheaper. You'll have large dorm rooms at most of them as well, and this is your cheapest sleeping option short of pitching a tent in a park.
