Van Mantel - Northern Michigan has the best summer beaches, clear streams and great winter sports like skiing and snowmobiling. Many paved bicycle trails to go with our abundant two track mountain bike areas.
Trackstar - I've lived all over the state of MI. I grew up on the West, near Grand Rapids. I worked in Saginaw, MI for a summer. I went to college in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (UP), and I currently reside in the metro-Detroit area. Lake Michigan has some amazing beaches (Holland, Muskegon, Traverse City), as well as Sleeping Bear Dunes. The UP is great for summer and winter sports.
Terry Maloney - If someone wanted to know something about the States or upper Michigan, I could help out. Anyone coming to the U.S. may want some general questions answered which I would be happy to do.

Athena - Student at MSU. Can direct you to beautiful scenery, fun spots and lake adventures.
Travis McLean - I live here in Michigan and know almost everything about this place. I have been most places in the wolverine state.
Robert E Borror - Detroit has one of the safest downtown areas in the USA. There are some unsafe areas but the downtown area isn't one of them. Also, the Montreaux Jazz Festival is known worldwide and has every major jazz musician in the world there.
Jim Lewis - I have done a lot of camping and trekking around the Great Lakes, especially Lake Michigan (where I live) and Lake Superior. Mountain biking, skiing, canoeing - but no shopping.
