The Other Benefits
Interns & Internships with BootsnAll
Yeah, there are a few other reasons why you might find us interesting to work with. BootsnAll isn't exactly your average Fortune 500 company – oh wait, we're not even in the Fortune 1000. Well, for many people that alone is one reason they want to work with us: a small group makes for a more personal, personalized atmosphere.
We our tails off to make BootsnAll work, and our interns respect that. We also like to have a good time, enjoy both life and work, and our interns respect that too. As you've seen or will see, there are other, "unofficial" benefits to working with us, and here's just a few:
- Barbecues. We can't help it, we love grilling. We'll grill in the middle of January if we suddenly find the fridge full of deer meat (which happens more often than you might think). Think of it as a company picnic always waiting to happen.
- Hanging out with BootsnAll members. This is one of our favorite parts of BootsnAll. Our members and writers have an open invitation to come by the office, and if anyone is heading in, our interns are welcome to meet these interesting travelers. Meeting our members is always a great time.
- Not chained to the office. Some internships don't even require you to work at BootsHQ. You still have to get your work done of course, but with many positions, especially writing internships, you can work from home, the computer lab, via email, at noon, or at 5 a.m. Working remotely also means you don't have to look at our ugly mugs all the time.
- Google. Yeah, the top, most incredible, most popular search engine on the web. About a month after interns send us their author bios, it's always fun to go to Google and type in your name. You'll get a kick out of the results.
- Experience & feedback. Dropping back to a quick serious note, yeah, we have a good time, but internships are also time well spent on the job. We don't know all there is to know, and are always learning too, but we're always available for advice and feedback, because you're here to learn and grow as a person and a professional.
