Lowest Daily Fares From the US to Cozumel     (Updated 10 Dec 2015)

Cozumel is located on a Caribbean island off the Yucatan Peninsula and is well known as a beach resort and scuba diving site. But with a bit of research travelers can find other interesting things to do here. The main town, San Miguel, is worth a visit and there are several Mayan archeological sites inland. Use the form above to search for the lowest fares to Cozumel, or keep reading to learn more about planning your trip.

Direct International Flights to Cozumel

Cozumel is served by an international airport, located on the Caribbean coast, close to Cancun. Most international travelers arrive here after booking an international flight to Mexico City followed by a discounted ticket from one of the domestic low cost carriers. Alternatively, it’s possible to fly directly to Cancun and then travel by boat to Cozumel. There are year-round direct flights from the following cities in the United States: Dallas, Houston, Newark, Atlanta and Charlotte. Seasonal flights are available from other US cities. There are no direct flights from the UK (year-round or seasonal).

Always compare direct flights with the more frequent connecting flights through Dallas, Houston or Mexico City, which are usually cheaper.

Discount Airlines to Cozumel

Although not a high end destination on the Caribbean coast, Cozumel is not very well served by low-cost carriers. There are two discount airlines flying here: Sun Country Airlines and West Jet.

Spring Break in Cozumel

Those planning to join the (mostly) young people celebrating Spring Break in Cozumel should plan and book the hotel and flight in advance. However, Cozumel is not crazy busy (like Cancun) which makes for a more desirable Spring Break choice (along with Acapulco).

Still, if you are not looking for all night partying it’s advisable NOT to travel to Cozumel for Spring Break. Instead, for a quieter, laid back experience, plan your vacation during Fall.
