Airfare to Bariloche, Argentina
San Carlo de Bariloche (commonly known as Bariloche) is a city in the province of Río Negro, Argentina. It is located at the foothills of the Andes and is surrounded by lakes and mountains.
Tourists flock here for the great skiing. Other activities you can try here are climbing, rafting, kayaking, paragliding and trekking. And the ladies will definitely appreciate the chocolate boutiques. If you wouldn’t know you are in Argentina you would confuse Bariloche for any Swiss ski resort, St. Bernard dogs on display including.
The city is served by San Carlos de Bariloche International Airport (BRC), which receives flights from other cities in Argentina and near-by Brazil. The airlines serving the city are: Lade, Aerolineas Argentinas, LAN Argentina and TAM Linhas Aereas.
You can fly into Barlioche either via Buenos Aires or via Sao Paulo. It is cheaper to fly from Buenos Aires into Bariloche but the total cost of the flight depends on where you fly from. For example, if you fly from New York it’s slightly cheaper ($100 RT) to fly via Buenos Aires than via Sao Paulo. While if you fly from Europe (London) it is definitely cheaper to choose the route via Buenos Aires. However, if you have miles or points saved for the airlines servicing the routes (Copa Airlines from New York, Iberia from London) you will end up with a cheaper ticket.
To save some money make sure to check all possible routes into the city. The city is a travel destination year round, but do make sure to avoid the peak travel seasons. And plan to fly during weekdays.
