Airfare to Puerto Iguazu, Argentina
Puerto Iguazu is located in Northeast Argentina, at the border with Paraguay and Brazil. It is very popular among those who plan to visit Iguacu Falls. Aside from visiting the falls, don’t miss the Three Frontiers Landmark either. And if you want to take a day trip, head to Itaipu Dam, one of the largest dams in the world.
The city is served by Aeropuerto International Cataratas del Iguazu (IGR) which offers very easy access to the falls. The airport receives several flights daily from Buenos Aires, offered by Aerolineas Argentinas and LAN Chile.
The majority of tourists get to Puerto Iguazu by plane via Buenos Aires. However, it is also possible to arrive by bus from other Argentine cities as well as from Brazil.
For the international travelers, getting to Buenos Aires and then catching a domestic flight to Puerto Iguazu is an easy task. If you fly from New York, you can choose among several airlines to get to Buenos Airlines, including: LAN Argentina and American Airlines ; while if you fly from Europe (i.e. London) you are pretty much limited to Iberia (which also offers the cheapest fares). In order to save some money, book your ticket ahead of time and avoid flying during the weekends.
